The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra finish off their season at Medina Theatre in style this weekend, with an evening of music for all tastes.

Beginning with the Children’s Overture by Roger Quilter, the first half follows on with music from Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel before reaching the interval with the Petite Suite de Concert by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

The second half of the evening starts with Malcolm Arnold’s ‘English Dances’ (set two), with Johann Strauss II’s waltz medley ‘Roses from the South’ following. The concert, and indeed the season is brought to a close by Aaron Copland’s dramatic and evocative Billy the Kid Ballet Suite.

We hope you will join us for an entertaining performance, and that you will return to Medina Theatre on Saturday November the 17th for the opening concert of the IWSO’s new season!
