We open the season in brilliant British style with Elgar’s exuberant portrait of Edwardian London. 2026 is the 50th anniversary of Britten’s death and we commemorate it with his vividly scored Piano Concerto, written with virtuosic flair. Glazunov’s evocative ballet music, The Seasons, rounds off the evening with a richly coloured journey through the year.
