There are still some tickets available for the next concert by the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra, which takes place on Saturday March 12th. The concert at Medina Theatre features the return of the talented soprano Jane Streeton, who will be performing Strauss’ 4 Last Songs. Opening the concert will be a lesser known piece by the composer Josef Suk entitled Scherzo Fantastico – a fun, lively start to the evening. The second half of the performance will be Rachmaninov’s 3rd Symphony – considered by many to be his most expressively Russian symphony.
